Abad Whispering Palms

Amazing spot for a family vacation We booked Cottage room with Lake view including breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious more than we expected, washroom wasnt that clean but it is open bathroom and top part will be open. There were no hooks to keep the wet clothes after pool, the pool was bit crowdy and space was less, they provide evening snacks and tea/coffee which is extra payment. Breakfast was good and fresh, we had south indian also some English breakfast as well (French toast, Chicken sauage, and Boiled egg) also they had sweets and desserts We also had INR 1400/- extra house boat ride which fits 10 people and for 1 hour as sunset cruise. Checkin was smooth and staffs helped even to arrange early check in 1 hour and arranged all 5 rooms for our 10 people group. Minibar was empty, No hair dryer, room service was bit late when we asked for water and coffee packets. I must say front office staff Ms Soly Varghese and Mr Rajeev were so helpful and i must say they were the best to assist us in a very good manner, they helped us for the easy check in/out without much delays and also arranged a wheelchair for our mother when asked. The view from room was spectacular as seen on photos and the access to sitting area and walking path was also good for the cottage room with lake view. Overall i must say 8/10 and must try resort for a family staycation. Overlooking the Vembanad Lake, we stayed in a villa facing the Lake. Swimming pool also overlooks the Lake. we spent maximum time in the very clean Pool, next to our villa. very clean not crowded except 5 to 7 PM. Lot of variety in breakfast. Liked the instrumental music 7 to 8 PM, every evening. well landscaped. We had Fish curry dinners, different each day, with Parotta. Excellent food reasonably priced. Boat rides reasonably priced & well organised. From Kottayam 14 Kms, engaged a Taxi, suggested by them, from Railway station to Abad, very reasonably priced,The hotel has Quality in all they do.

1.Location was good, calm and serene. 2. Room (we stayed at Private Pool Villa) was spacious, clean and private. 3. Breakfast buffet spread was good and promptly served at 7.30 am. 4. Dinner buffet spread was good and the cost was fair. 5. Safety and security of the premises was intact. 6. All the staff were always willing to help. Sunset view is amazing. 7. Evening they have live shows for an hour which makes you relaxing before dinner. 8. Sitting area overviewing the back waters is pretty good especially during sunset times. 9. When I first arrived, the room that i was given, was not what I had requested. They quickly fixed this up for me, and I had the most loveliest and largest suite with my own backyard garden, outdoor shower and quite privacy. The room was clean, the bed comfortable (only Indian TV options) but great Wifi in the room. The food was magnificent, they hosted 3 daily buffets and the choice was endless, each day it was a different selection of food. If you ever needed anything the staff would even and go to the kitchen and find it for you. Compliments to the chef and the entire food catering team. In the evening, there was music playing in the Reception area, which was a nice touch. Access to house / river boat cruises and the Revival Ayurveda Centre (make sure you book in, they are busy) The location is great on the lake and the views are amazing. A big shout out to Jancy, she is a rockstar! She is always checking in, ensuring everything is okay, seeing if you need anything at all, she has a big kind heart and a lovely smile.

The beauty of the property is exceptional. Very good choice for a weekend getaway. Clean surroundings and pool. Friendly staff too.
